About SAVF Vryheid:

Founded in 1937 by dedicated volunteers, the Natalse Christelike Vroue Vereniging in KwaZulu-Natal, SAVF Vryheid has been a cornerstone of support for older individuals. In 2004, the NCVV merged with the SAVF to further its mission.

SAVF Rusoord, an integral part of SAVF Vryheid, traces its origins back to 1960 when the first 10 units were constructed. Over the years, additional double and single units were added, along with the introduction of Life Rights units, known as SAVF Rusoord Okkupasie Woonstelle. Today, our facility offers a total of 86 units, comprising 53 rental units, 32 living rights units, and a guest house.

On our premises, you’ll find the SAVF Senior Centrum, a service center providing a wide range of services, including daily meals, a coffee shop, a second-hand shop, shuttle service to town, a daily activity program, and more. Our primary goal is to enrich lives, fostering independence, meaningful activities, and lasting friendships.

For those in need of basic nursing services, the SAVF Jubileum Home is conveniently located on the same premises, ensuring comprehensive care and support for SAVF Rusoord residents.

Welcome to our upmarket complex, SAVF Eventide Mews, where you’ll find the majority of our units are two-bedroom, two-bathroom residences set in beautiful surroundings. We also offer a limited number of three-bedroom and one-bedroom units, all available on a Life Rights basis. Our “Big House” serves as a vibrant Community Centre, providing space for functions and additional accommodation.

Welcome to Hartbeeshof:

Hartbeeshof is an occupational rights retirement village, expertly managed and administered by SAVF. We provide a welcoming environment for individuals aged 50 and older, who are capable of independent living and functioning within their own unit and surroundings.

Our residents are expected to be both physically and mentally competent, and we request a Medical Certificate as part of the application process. When you purchase a unit, the full price is due upon contract signing, with no transfer fees required. A monthly levy is applicable, and please note that we do not permit pets. House rules apply to all residents, and personal transportation is necessary, as shuttle services are not provided. Additionally, there is a profit-sharing arrangement upon the resale of a unit.
