SAVF WOW in Carletonville is looking for a passionate, dedicated aftercare teacher for learners in Grades 4 to 7. You will create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment that supports every child’s development.
Duties
- Carry out all duties expected of a teacher at an SAVF Early Childhood Development Centre
- Provide quality education and care to children in the designated age group
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate educational activities
- Maintain a safe, structured and stimulating learning environment
- Support the emotional, social, physical and cognitive development of learners
- Work closely with parents, guardians and colleagues to promote each child’s development
Minimum requirements
- Grade 12
- NQF Level 4 qualification (mandatory)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Foundation Phase Education
- Relevant working experience and good managerial skills
- Good interpersonal skills and good health
- Responsible, honest, trustworthy and patient
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Afrikaans and English (teaching is conducted in Afrikaans)
- Ability to maintain discipline
- Computer literate
- Valid SAPS clearance certificate
SAVF Susan Strijdom is seeking an experienced and dynamic Facility Manager to lead the overall management and day-to-day operations of the elderly care facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of quality services, overseeing financial and personnel management, implementing policies and legislative requirements, and maintaining a high standard of care for residents.
Duties
- Provide effective leadership and management of the facility
- Manage work procedures, finances and administration
- Ensure compliance with policies and relevant legislation
- Manage financial and personnel functions
- Lead marketing and fundraising initiatives
- Perform all other general management duties
Minimum requirements
- Grade 12
- SAPS clearance
- Recognised qualification in Human Sciences or Management Sciences
- A qualification in Accountancy will be advantageous
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence
- Knowledge of the welfare industry
- Knowledge and experience in the field of aged care
- Knowledge and experience in the interpretation and implementation of policy and relevant legislation
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Financial and personnel management experience
- Experience in organising, coordinating and controlling work procedures
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Afrikaans and English
- Experience in compiling and implementing business plans
- Experience in managing a large staff complement
